IPAD project funded

We end the semester with good news that Mary Deane has been successful in her bid for £30,000 to the Higher Education Academy Teaching Development Grants Fund for the IPAD project: Internationalisation and Promoting Assessment Diversity.

The project will evaluate tablet based computing for peer mentoring.  We will be training students in mentoring techniques and harnessing the resources of tablet computing for online interaction which will enhance their awareness of how to approach the writing and assessment processes and boost their confidence as scholars. The projects will develop a methodology for fostering peer-mentor partnerships between home and international students.
