Preparing students for global citizenship

Internationalising the curriculum for all students

In order to support the development of the graduate attributes, OCSLD is running a short online course on global citizenship.

This course will be of use to you if you are developing, or planning to develop, curricula to prepare graduates for living and working in a multi-cultural, globalised world. The course will challenge your conceptions of an internationalised curriculum and offer the opportunity to explore curriculum, teaching and assessment strategies in terms of global perspectives, inter-cultural capabilities and responsible citizenship.

This is a fully online course which runs from 17 October to 18 November.

Each week’s work will include readings and tasks, as well as the opportunity to engage in sharing your experiences, insights and reflections with others on the course to help inform your analysis and planning. You will be supported by tutors Valerie Clifford and Juliet Henderson.

For more information, and to register,  go to http://www.brookes.ac.uk/services/ocsld/online/international_curriculum/index.html

This course is free for Oxford Brookes staff, who should contact Fiona Smith (flsmith@brookes.ac.uk) to register.

Registration closes 3 October 2012
