A very exciting opportunity to work with colleagues in the Oxford Brookes School of Education and Oxford Centre for Staff and Learning Development.

Funded Research Scholarship, School of Education, Oxford Brookes UniversityThe School of Education at Oxford Brookes Universty is looking for strong candidates to apply for one three-year, full-time PhD studentship. The studentship is intended for a candidate who will pursue a PhD project that falls broadly within one of the School’s key thematic research areas:

  • Learning, Identity and Culture
  • Curriculum, Pedagogy and Assessment
  • Childhood, Families and Community
  • Educational Purposes, Ethics and Beliefs
  • Partnership, Policy and Leadership

The closing date for applications is 17.00 on Monday 10th March 2014, with interviews being held during the week of 31st March 2014. The start date for the studentship is September 2014.

Rhona is Head of the Oxford Centre for Staff and Learning Development at Oxford Brookes University. Her interests are around developing and tutoring online courses, developing learners for a digital age, and  pedagogic research. Rhona is one of the co-founders of ELESIG (Evaluation of Learners’ Experiences of e-learning Special Interest Group), a Senior Fellow of the Staff and Educational Development Association, a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a National Teaching Fellow. She is Editor of the Brookes eJournal for Learning and Teaching.
